Low Poly Portrait – Juan Wolmarans

I’ve seen these low poly portraits across the internet and different social media platforms and was curious as to how it’s done. After reading a few tutorials I decided to take on this project and see if my own low poly portrait would look as good as some of the others I’ve seen. I’m quite pleased with the result and hoping to create some other designs with the same style in the future. You can see what the final design looks like below.

 

The portrait was done in Adobe Illustrator and finished in Photoshop. It took about 9 hours in total with approximately 1 894 triangles and a lot of patience and coffee!
